As you will know the negative effects of the sun’s rays is the UV (Ultraviolet) heat. Obviously, an Infrared Sauna does not expose you to these harmful rays.

While the EMF are negligible, the less you are exposed the better so we suggest that you find one that emits the lowest output possible.

 

What Is The Difference Between Near and Far Infrared?

These terms only refer to the frequency level on the light spectrum. Near infrared is a lower frequency which is around 30% of the sun’s output. Far near and far infrared sauna for healthinfrared is the higher part of the spectrum which accounts for around 3% of the sun’s output.

If you are a beginner then start slow. 10 to 15 minutes at 100 degrees Fahrenheit every other day and increase your usage in small increments. Just like you would if you were starting out jogging.

Gradually increase the amount of time to around 40 minutes daily or every other day at the optimal temperature range. The normal temperature to work up to is 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

Of course, drink about 24 oz. of water or electrolytes after each session to rehydrate.

Too much of anything could be bad, even drinking water, so if you start feeling off during or after a sauna session then we suggest that you stop and see a physician. Keep in mind some people can feel a little discomfort, this is part of the detoxification process your body needs to go through. It does not last long and is a good sign that toxins are being eliminated.
